This was the very first of the cards created for the D-Lab. I had just joined the group (~2 months) and was entrusted with the great responsibility of making Jen's birthday card. Justin told me that as a child, Jen wanted to become an ice-skating, ghost-busting detective and movie star. I ultimately combined those details into a movie poster format. The movie is called "Pumpkin Spice, Paranormal PI." The title was both inspired by the Spice Girls and pumpkin spice lattes, which I thought was extremely witty, given Jen's spunky personality and love of pumpkin patches. PI also has a double meaning here, haha (Okay, I will stop laughing at my own jokes now).

Jen is happily ice-skating with her pumpkin friends (front cover). Mysteriously, her friends begin to disappear, and she must use her paranormal detective skills to find them. She discovers that a ghost family has been enslaving the pumpkins and making them into pies! Luckily, Jen saves the day!
